Under the contract Wood Group GTS will provide APM capital spare parts including rotor and stator components for the gas turbine. Wood Group GTS will provide specialist support from an experienced engineering team to ensure in-service reliability and the availability of critical spare parts.

John Smith, mechanical technologist leader of Dow Chemical, commented "During the tender process Wood Group GTS demonstrated their depth of engineering knowledge and understanding of this turbine type. Based on their ability to meet our technical requirements and delivery performance criteria, we're very pleased they offer Dow Chemical a genuine alternative to OEM parts."

Frank Avery, president of Power Plant Services of Wood Group GTS, said, "By introducing competition into the capital parts market we provide choice, enabling operators to select a service provider offering the best value solution for their maintenance needs. This order highlights the competence of our engineering and parts manufacturing team. We are delighted to receive this award from Dow Chemical."
