The Advance/Decline Ratio is the ratio of the number of advancing issues to the
number of declining issues. The values can be read easily. For instance, a value
of two means that there were twice as many advancing issues as declining issues.
Numbers below one mean that there were more declining issues than advancing issues.
For instance, a value of 0.5 means that there were half as many advancing issues
as declining issues. The A/D Ratio is often smoothed with a moving average.
